Kaitlyn Cook is a student at Brenau University pursuing a doctorate in Physical Therapy. Her ultimate goal is to be able to give back to her community by helping individuals suffering from musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.
Kaitlyn is an active member of Delta Rho Tau (DRT), an organization comprised of physical therapy students. Through the DRT, she has already made a difference in her community. Kaitlyn has volunteered her time and skills by offering soft tissue massages at local festivals and assisted individuals with Parkinson’s disease at a local clinic.
Kaitlyn is the daughter of BMWED member Jeremy Cook. Brother Cook serves as Local Chairman of ARSF Local Lodge #0619 and currently holds the position of B&B Foreman at Norfolk Southern Railway.

McKenzie Lewandowski is taking courses through Bellin College while still in high school and will begin attending full-time this fall to study Diagnostic Medical Sonography. She aims to earn a certification in General Vascular Concentration with a minor in Adult Echocardiography.
McKenzie's career choice is a deeply personal one. A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer helped save her mother's life, inspiring McKenzie to become a lifesaver to others in need. After graduating, McKenzie plans to return to school to earn certification as a Neurosonographer.
McKenzie is the daughter of BMWED member Scott Lewandowski. Brother Lewandowski serves as a member of the Joint Protective Board at Wisconsin Central Division Local Lodge #2932. He currently holds the position of Machine Operator on a bridge crew at Canadian National Railway.

Case Ford will attend Arkansas State University to pursue a degree in Business Marketing. Case has always been a hard worker. Throughout high school, he balanced a 40-hour a week job at a local restaurant while also being an active member of the Conway High School Football Team and an excellent academic student.
Following the completion of his undergraduate degree, Case plans to attend law school. His goal is to become a lawyer dedicated to serving working-class individuals who may not have the means to afford the quality legal counsel they deserve.
Case is the son of BMWED member David Ford. Brother Ford serves as Local President of Allied Federation Local Lodge #2717 and currently holds the position of Foreman at Union Pacific Railroad.

Aleah Bach will attend the University of Mount Union where she plans to pursue a degree in Primary Education with a master’s in Education Administration. Aleah has been accepted into the honors program and is deeply passionate about her future in education.
Aleah discovered her enthusiasm for working with kids while employed at a local childcare facility. She believes that becoming an elementary school teacher will be a deeply fulfilling career, enabling her to build meaningful relationships with students and shape their lives in significant ways.
Aleah is the daughter of BMWED member Brandon Bach. Brother Bach is a member of ARSF Local Lodge #3094 and currently holds the position of Assistant Foreman in Norfolk Southern Railway’s B&B department.

Kylie Hurley has been accepted to attend East Tennessee State University where she plans to pursue a career in Pharmacy. Once becoming a pharmacist her ambition is to own and operate her own pharmacy.
From a young age Kylie has been fascinated by the healthcare field and the vital role pharmacists play. Her passion lies in improving patients' health and enhancing the quality of care in a welcoming environment. Additionally, she views pharmacy ownership as an opportunity to contribute to the economic vitality of her community by creating jobs.
Kylie is the daughter of BMWED member Chadwick Hurley. Brother Hurley is the Vice President of ARSF Local Lodge #0586 and serves as BMWED Assistant Legislative Director for the State of Tennessee. He currently holds the position of T&S 2 Operator at Norfolk Southern Railroad.

Jera Schuerman will attend Nebraska Wesleyan University this fall, where she intends to pursue a degree in Chemistry, aiming for a career as a Doctor of Pharmacy.
Throughout high school Jera distinguished herself as an exceptional athlete, participating in volleyball, basketball, and track. Additionally, she maintained honor roll status and demonstrated a strong passion for Chemistry. By pursuing a PhD in Pharmacy Jera will be able to deepen her interest in Chemistry while embarking on a career dedicated to bettering people's quality of life.
Jera is the daughter of BMWED member Bradley Schuerman. Brother Schuerman is a member of Burlington System Division Local Lodge #1316. He currently holds the position of Group 2 Machine Operator at BNSF Railway.
