The BMWED and the National Carriers Conference Committee met this week for negotiations as part of National Bargaining with most of the Class I freights. Though it is always welcomed to sit across the table in person, we remain in talks and plan to meet again after the new year.

As you know, the Brotherhood has a collectively bargained agreement in place for our members on Norfolk Southern and another tentative agreement in place with CSX. Balloting on that tentative agreement will begin on Dec. 30 with a deadline to vote of Jan. 10. Electronic balloting will be the most convenient and expeditious way to cast your vote. All mail and email correspondence on the ratification vote will come from the independent American Arbitration Association (@adr.com).

Member railroads to the NCCC and the BMWED have not yet reached agreement for Maintenance of Way Employees on their respective properties.
